One of our freshman football coaches grabbed a dumbass wide receiver by the facemask and yelled in his face and smacked his helmet during a game like right in front of the parents in the stands and was promptly fired the following week. I'm the same age as Carl for reference's sake. Our coaches would also threaten us with losing our water breaks. Also the wrestling coaches would shower in the locker rooms with us after practice which in retrospect was probably inappropriate. I was our high school's longsnapper. Gotta say, it was pretty sweet.
