Yo I could actually respond to this! Hopefully my answer is enough for you tho haha. I also just want to say that I am approaching this with tender love and care. I know it can be a sensitive topic for some, but I do not mind sharing my thoughts with you at all! First, I rewatched that segment where berleezy said “I wouldn’t want to be an example of J Christ.” I believe he meant he wouldn’t want another person to associate him with Lil Nas X as “J Christ.” For example, think of like two peas in a pod. One pea doesn’t taste so good but the other one tastes great, but because I ate the bad one first, I wouldn’t even want to try the second one. Please if this is wrong and someone notices, correct me! Regarding the other questions you had, I’ll answer from my own knowledge, experience, and understanding of Christianity. The first thing I’ll say is that being a Christian is completely a choice. Your actions as a Christian are all choices. God allows us as his followers to make those choices. God is loving, caring, and kind. He’s the only person to keep my head on straight in my entire life. He asks us to be images or replicates of Him, because he is those things. God is anything but mean, harsh, unfair, unloving, or anything negative. God doesn’t rule by fear, but instead love, and that’s why I chose to follow Him forever! I don’t know if that answered literally any of your questions cuz I might be yappin lol but I would love to get your perspective a little more, maybe we can chat about it!

As someone who does a closed religious based practice I’ve always been intrigued by the forceful nature in which the Christian God imposes on those who follow them. I believe Berlin said something along the lines of “I wouldn’t want to be an example from Him” referring the God & Lil Nas X, why would God make an example and why is it predisposed to be inherently negative to the point of fear? Why are true Christian’s expected to be kind, generous, and nurturing but cannot expect that same level of care from God. Genuine question, would love to discuss more with you all!

The thing that's so interesting about "pause" is that it's so limiting for some reason even though its just jokes. To answer berlins questions ; I feel like content creation and Hollywood are separate things In a sense no one idea is unique that sounds crazy BUT we don’t singularly have an idea it comes from somewhere else . Like even if you look at the history of the English language it molded at certain points specifically because the bishops were beside those in power so the church literally molded the direction of language itself so it's like can you say that Christian people as a whole are going to be in any more danger or subjugation or anything major if someone disrespects their religion no but if you do that to a Muslim or to a Jewish person there is a history of that could lead to violence and that's why it's different.

That being said to answer Berlin's question I definitely feel like it is completely different when people disrespect Christianity because historically it has almost always been embedded in to the major powers. In modern history Judaism and Islam have both been subjugated to the point of killing those people enmasse and Christianity just has not had that history of subjugation so it's like "why is it racist if I say this about black people but it's not racist if I say it about white people" because one has had the power to be unaffected by that disrespect.

I love Berleezy’s point about today seeming worse because we’re living in it but that in relation to the bigger picture of human history, none of it is new. I agree 100%. We feel the events more because it’s happening in front of us. But I’m sure all the wild events that we read about in history books were felt just as deeply from the people living through them because it happened in front of them.

With the stealing jokes topic I think the difference is with content creators using the same video idea or game for comedians is like talking about the same topic which is fine. But imagine if some other youtuber plays the same game and makes the exact same jokes with a word or two changed, calls their fan base a riff off yours, and copies the quirks that make your channel unique.
