The Nightmare Banisher

This entire post is a spoiler so watch it first and read it after.
In this video designed to rid you of troublesome nightmares, you will notice a distinct lack of soft and fluffy "shhh, it's ok, everything is ok". This is intentional because when someone says that to me when I'm distressed, I feel like they don't understand how I feel and don't care to understand. No, this video starts off from a solid basis of 'I understand'. Not only do I understand, I can turn the power structure around - for I know all the things that nightmares are afraid of. That's novel - the thing that triggers fear and powerlessness in us has fears of its own? Oh, yes. And we can exploit them. Which I have conveniently done for you in this video.
Starting off with the rosemary smudging - rosemary has such a vibration that negative entities cannot exist in the same space as the plant. It's the nightmares' kryptonite. Where I'm from, rosemary smudging sticks virtually do not exist - so I ended up making my own from store bought rosemary twigs and some yarn. It's my first attempt and not perfect (you can tell by how ashes fly everywhere) but it smokes so it gets the job done. It also happens to make some really nice popping sounds when you burn it, which I have highlighted in the sound effects added in post.
Black tourmaline is the witches' favorite protection stone - of course that is down to individual preference, but it is extremely popular due to its powerful way of drawing in and trapping negative energy. That's why I made sure to cleanse them before using them in this video. They need frequent care to do their job. I usually bury them in salt, but for aesthetics, this time I used incense. Which incense, you ask? A blend called Tutankhamen's Kyphi - designed to relax and ease you into sleep. Since the intent is what matters, I oriented everything around the goal of you sleeping peacefully when you normally wouldn't.
Purple fluorite, another protective stone, specifically wards against nightmares due to its correspondence with the throat, third eye and crown chakra. It's an excellent stone if you need help with mental stability as it's gently grounding. And by keeping your head stable and grounded, it dissolves your own weakness against nightmares. That's a double whammy! They have also been cleansed and charged before the video. Though, oddly enough, it wasn't easy to get enough specimens for the grid! I went out to my local rock supplier just for this video. Most of them weren't purple or not purple enough. I am impartial to the color of the fluorite (clean fluorite is clear in color, the various colors are caused by impurities in the stone) but for the purpose of this video I needed 4 purple ones. I just didn't expect there to be a shortage.
All safe and sound in the grid? Well I'm not done yet. Nightmares won't give up so easily. So I wanted to use a real spell to banish them. You can tell whether or not one of my videos contains a real spell by me asking you to open yourself up to me and by that you basically give consent to having your energy manipulated by me. In spell work, the intent is what matters - but in ASMR, aesthetics is what matters. As you probably already saw, I used 3 different clips aswell as layered whispering in the two minute spell segment - all of which hold the strong intent to rid you of nightmares and prevent them from coming back. When I watch it back, I feel the powerful energies and this will probably be the most energetically overwhelming part, but just give into it. Being flooded with my energy will leave you feeling completely safe, that is, if you trust me (and yes, I capitalize on the fact that so many people find me inherently trustworthy). The hand movements in the blue light are sped up 2x which to my own surprise I find incredibly tingly. The red clip is just me in my "astral" form drawing a protection sigil on you. All the different colors were created with glow filters - oh how I love glow filters. The fluffy duchess could never (render a 2 hour video with glow filters!)
I wrote the spell just for the purpose of this video with the end goal of taking you from your fearful powerless place having just woken up from a nightmare to turning the power structure around and leaving you feeling powerful (by proxy) because that's the only thing that helps me. I wanted you to know that you have leverage over those bad dreams and needn't be afraid of them. Nightmares want you to be afraid of them because they want you to give them your power by feeling powerless to them. I'm giving it back to you so you can see you were never below them, always above them. No one who's above you is coming for you! Words of wisdom I have picked up lately. I also wrote it to have as many words as possible, in part for the video length and in part for the immersion. It's easier to be convinced of something if you spend two minutes dwelling in its energy than a 10 second sentence like "Nightmares, go away, you ain't shit, don't come back, so must it be" - wouldn't you agree? Spells also don't have to rhyme, but I like it better when they rhyme. I'm a very melodic person and it helps me create a solid energy flow through the words. And even though I'm not a Wiccan, the law of 3 certainly doesn't hurt with having 3 tracks of these exact words - two whispered, one spoken. Yay eclecticism!
After all is said and done, my badass "astral" form will watch over you and reassure you that it's safe to go back to sleep now. Enjoy some comforting head pettings and breathing - for 2 hours if it makes you feel better! And yes, there will be some "it's ok, you're safe, close your eyes" - but rather than soft and fluffy, it's reassuring and confident. So far, I just can't pull off soft and fluffy without hating myself.
While I already spotted things that can be improved upon, I like how it's all come together - well, I like it on my new computer for which I have configured the sound and visuals. On the fluffy duchess it seems way oversaturated. If it feels like you aren't hearing the full spectrum of my voice, you'd be right! That's because the white noise was so intense on this computer that I had to cap the higher frequencies just to tone it down. Noise removal just doesn't work, it makes me sound like a robot. We will see if we can do something about it tomorrow at the repair shop. Hopefully after that I will have pristine sound again! I miss the clean, sharp sound I had when I first got my recorder. But I use it so much that it naturally wears down over time. Especially now that I have to sit there for hours doing voice over and sound effects because everything makes really obnoxious noises. As you can imagine, I can't wait to do this on an hour long video!
Let me know what you think about the changes. I sincerely hope the video works as intended for you. I realize the dark mystical imagery is not for the easily frightened, but I get off on that shit so I will probably do more of that. It just gives me so much life.

This was PERFECT, you are so right. Saying "it will be ok" does naught to quell my fears, but giving me the feeling of being strong and the one for my fears to fear, helps me feel more in control and feel safe to sleep again. I love the dark aesthetic, you do you, that's why we watch and love ur videos! <3

I've had a ton of trouble sleeping the last couple nights... kept waking up (for what I know are incredibly silly reasons, but it is what it is). I tried to watch this several times through all of that... but it kept knocking me out cold every attempt... so thank you! So now to try again... and see if I fall asleep on my desk this time...
