S3E1.5: KJB Q&A 9
🕑 Added 2023-09-07 07:43:38 +0000 UTCWe're back again and answering YOUR questions! This week: Is it possible for a Spy movie to score a perfect Zero on SCUM? What little things can you do to help you feel like you're making progress in your transition? I'm going to Greggs, do you want anything? And the return of the Muppet Question...

THE MOVIES ARE ON STRIKE!
SAG-AFTRA and the WGA are both on strike for a number of reasons, from pay for streaming residuals, to the rights to own your own appearance, to the right to not have AIs trained off your work.
So if you've got a few spare pennies, why not chip in to help keep movies from becoming Shit Forever.

And if you're in the UK, the UCU could still do with some help

All of the Na'vi culture is appropriated from existing indigenous cultures, especially Māori. To me, that's at least a 5 or 6 on the "Cultural Insensitivity" meter

I love the idea of getting LK on here and I don't think it's that unfeasible! He's a fairly frequent streamer on Twitch. Side note: not a big fan of the brief dieting talk at the beginning of the ep

I think the perfect 0 SCUM score might be Avatar Way of Water. Which is interesting because I think the perfect full score might be True Lies

Thank you very much for answering my question, it really means a lot. I wanted to find something else to do besides electrolysis because im doing that right now and it fucking hurts

I should come on as a guest to watch a Dutch eurospy movie, except that I listen to this podcast so that I DON'T have to watch these terrible movies.

I would still pay money for both Pierce Brosnan and Timothy Dalton shirts
Not me being so far inside an Aldi my internet stopped working right when they were talking about defecting to Cuba 😆

God dammit! Your muppet replacement answeres were fantastic but it has since spread to 2 other podcasts and my reddit feed! Just want to say i heard it here first.

Patlabor 2 could probably ace the scum system. I can't think of any issues with it off the top of my head but I am open to corrections

Get Noam Chomsky to watch one of the Andy Serkis "Planet of the Apes" movies
Metalupis
Guest question: I bet you could get Dan Olsen on
RIP Officer DeeDee Megadoodoo
Muppet Name of the Rose.
Arthur Sexcrimes
Some kind of spinoff with M (either Fiennes, although that might echo The King's Man a bit too much, or Dench) could actually work. Using another character is potentially a good way to reappraise Bond's legacy in a way that No Time to Die wished it did
Jordan Y Clementi
Given how many solicitations TF gets from startups, I bet you could go to at least two premiers before they barred you.
Tegan Thompson
Thank you for answering my question and for saying my name right!! Little Kuriboh would be a hilarious guest. That Or someone absurdly random like I dunno getting on Travis Willingham to do a werewolf movie.
Gabe
Also, getting Little Kuriboh or Lindsay Ellis would be great! I first heard about your podcast through Abi's appearance on Musicalsplaining.

1. You're right, it should be Patriot Games, but it should be that because then IRA Kermit can talk about how 'It's not easy being green" 2. Very happy you answered one of my questions.

re: Muppet question - what about three days of the condor??

I guess I should save this for Q&A 10, but I won't remember by then, so: If you're forced to make something in the Bondiverse, (a) what side character would it be about, (b) what format would it be, and (c) what genre? (My pick: (a) Jaws, (b) 6-episode miniseries, (c) domestic comedy.)
