"I'm going to place the three of you goons in a predicament bondage situation, and I can't even make the Patrick William Charlton joke because this is a different series."

On the subject of James Bond apparently borrowing from it's earlier competitors, I recently watched the second Matt Helm movie The Ambushers. It's a spy comedy which essentially created the character of Jaws 11 years earlier in the form of a metal-headed Dave Bautista-looking mf who is defeated by exploiting disability. Drinking while driving is also played for comedy.

When y'all were describing the dissonance in the ranch scenes, it made me think of "La última cena" - Cuban movie from the 70s that still kind of knocks around in my head. I remember it doing some interesting stuff with the relationship between a "moral"/pious landowner and the people he subjugates.
