It's part 2 of our Italian Job double bill with long-time friend of the show, THREE-time guest, comedian and man with 'too many podcasts', Milo Edwards!
On today's episode of the Kill James Bond Podcast, we're taking a look at a 2000s american ensemble heist that describes itself as 'Inspired by the 1969 British film, but with an original story'. Let's just say we had differing opinions on it.

FREE PALESTINE
Hey, Devon here. In our home, we talk a lot about how insane everything feels, and agonise constantly over what can be done to best help the Palestinians trapped in Gaza facing the full brunt of genocidal violence. My partner Rebecca has put together a list of four fundraisers you can contribute to- all of them are at work on the ground doing what they can.
-Palestinian Communist Youth Union, which is doing a food and water effort, and is part of the official communist party of Palestine

-Water is Life, a water distribution project in North Gaza affiliated with an Indigenous American organization and the Freedom Flotilla

-Vegetable Distribution Fund, which secured and delivers fresh veg, affiliated with Freedom Flotilla also

-Thamra, which distributes herb and veg seedlings, repairs and maintains water infrastructure, and distributes food made with replanted veg patches

That's also how I took the "does it come with a receipt ?" line. Not "I'm gonna return it immediately" but "are you gifting me stolen shit [implied : AGAIN]". To me it less an indication of estrangement per se, on the contrary they both seem to know exactly what the other is about and why it doesn't really work between them but they're still quite fond of each other.

I'm so sorry, when Charlize Theron's character asks her dad if the jewelry he got her "has a receipt" it's because she thinks he stole it!!!! It's not "you know nothing about me" it's "i think you're stealing again and I disapprove". This movie was on tv a lot when I was a tween and I imprinted on it a normal amount anyway I think it's a very efficient character exposition line to have at the top of the movie and it stuck with me since like age 8

I feel like the only person who remembers Seth Green was in Idle Hands
John Benfield
With regard to Edward Norton's acting range, it would be fascinating to hear y'all cover Death To Smoochy as a bonus episode. He's as pure and innocent a hero in that as he is a mustache-twirling villain in this. The film actually has a lot to say about masculinity, and the number of things that his character was right about seems to just keep going up over time (the first time I ever heard the term "gluten-free", in 2002!).
