Fun Fact: C.S Lewis was friends with John R R Tolkien (Author of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings) They served in the same regiment together in the army and they were both devoted Christians and wanted to teach people about the Christian Faith through their books. And I'm a born-again Christian, so I get the symbolism. Yes Aslan is meant to be Jesus (and he's Lion because that's how Jesus is described as in the Bible, The Lion head of the tribe of Judah) and the 4 children represent 4 aspects of ourselves Peter: Leadership Edmund: Pride and Ego Susan: Logic, reason and wisdom Lucy: Child-like faith And the White Witch represents The Devil Aslan's sacrifice scene represents Jesus' death on the cross and he's sacrificing himself for Edmund, because Jesus died for us. (When Aslan said at the end "It is finished" They were Jesus' last words on the cross)
