🕑 Added 2018-11-24 17:10:09 +0000 UTC The news about progress!All this time I'm very actively engaged in the development of Episode 2.
Now is the end of the stage of the rendering of game arts. It's about 90% of renders already sent to the render station. Currently, there is about one thousand total of them.
The next step is to create an animation (yes, there will be animation with Monica). Total render time of animation and arts will take about ten more days.
In this time I'll rework the game engine. It's impossible to start the new chapter based on the mess that has accumulated there. Also needs to make a lot of improvements in it.
I had hopes that the programmer will help me to speed up the work, but I still have not found a good helper.
So I have to do everything myself, which will affect the release date of the game.
I planned to release the game at the end of this month, or the very beginning of the next. Due to the amount of renders and work with the engine, I can say that I will not have time this month. Most likely the game will be released closer to the December 10th.
Please understand me. I'm working at full speed, trying to maintain a high level of quality, but it costs time.
I want to make the sequel worthy of the previous game. I hope you stay with me and help me with this.

I'm with those who say take the time needed to do it right. I love the quality of the game and would rather have better than sooner.

The Ren'Py is just a framework based on python. I mean my game engine over the Ren'Py :) It's not some global rework. I just need to reorganize the storage of all objects and add some amount of new functions to it. Also, clean up the code and all gfx assets in the game.

What did you mean when you said "Rework the game engine"? I remember in the early days you did worked your own engine to run the game (back when it was similar to RPGM). But I thought the newest versions were running on RenPy. I was just wondering if you mean there's a chance you'll leave the RenPy framework or if you were saying that you are going to be refactoring your Python Code for the game in RenPy in the next days. PS: Love your work! Really looking forward to Ep. 2!

Все пучком, ваяй без переживаний, думаю многие со мной согласятся, ведь ожидание того стоит. Я бы на твоем месте стремился не к 10 декабря, а к 31, чтобы сделать как можно больше, в качестве подарка для нас на НГ. Хотя.... и имел ввиду 5$-вых патронов :D

You do great work and is worth the wait. Episode one was so fun with a b****iness meter. Never played a game like that it was fun!

Of course the first version 0.1 of Ep2 will not be a full episode, but according to DecentMonkey, there will be around 1.000 renders in this first version, so I guess, it's a bit more than just 2-3 scenes ;)
