I kinda wrote it with the intention of it being an American one - though I think it could be made clearer in the prose and through Jensen's choice of words.

My only comment is if/when this story is edited and published. The accent is retconned to not be a low-born accent but an accent from Earth. That makes more logical sense that Jensen/Maria defaults to their original accent, and that the accent itself isn't lowborn but is some strange accent that hasn't been heard before in Walser. It might require other revisions but I don't think Jensen/Maria should have a low-born accent, and this ties more of the isekai element into the story.
