Hello World!
🕑 Added 2017-09-01 03:00:14 +0000 UTC Hey everyone-Thank you to all of you that have pledged already, it means a lot to me (Garrett/twots), my girlfriend, and the dev team.
Things are still a bit in flux right now, but here's some thoughts on the immediate future:
1. I'm planning to do an art contest & raffle on tumblr/twitter promoting piczel and our patreon, anyone have any thoughts on this? The art contest would be to design/draw a piczel mascot/piczel gijinka, the raffle just being a normal raffle among all the reblogs and retweets (I guess? Gotta look up how twitter giveaways work)
2. We've rolled out a lot of bugfixes, upgrades, and new features over the past few weeks of accelerated development. More details to come, but the basics are improved stability, custom emote strings, desktop notifications (similar to facebook's, but less annoying hopefully :) ), popular images in the gallery now are pulled from only the previous month, and a variety of UI tweaks and fixes that would take forever to list.
3. I need your feedback! What can we do to improve our patreon? Anything unclear on how it works? What are good rewards other than premium time and custom icons? Are the tiers good?

Hopefully patreon lets us do charge upfront and then we'll just send a 30 day code as soon as you pledge! Michael, sent you a gift code for a few days worth, so you're not stuck waiting :) @Azure, we debated back and forth on that, I'll probably put up a poll once we get some more activity here. There's merits for both the way we do it now and the way you're suggesting, and for the time we went with what was easiest. Re: a mascot, remember this would be unofficial, we wouldn't do anything nearly as pushy as picarto. Would love to see any designs you come up with! (Though, anything posted here should be sfw

It's possible you signed up before the auto codes were sent out - the way it works is when you sign up, you get a code that gives you premium until the 3rd of the following month, and then a 31 day code is sent out after I review all the payments and such on the 1st or 2nd (I'm waiting to see that they all come in, basically, this is the first month so not sure how exactly it'll go)

The patreon seems great to me! I have yet to receive my one month code, but I'm sure it's on its way! The tiers seem to be alright for now as well~. In terms of rewards, i wouldn't get too crazy with the different tiers. Keeping it simple and similar to a regular 'premium' system is probably best to avoid people having to pay more and more to get features they might need to professionally stream. In regards to a mascot, i think it would be a great idea! I wouldnt go so far as sites such as picarto does to push the mascot into peoples faces and emotes. I would, however, like to see a mascot that can be associated with the platform! I have a few ideas for one that could work and will start working on it soon :D

The art contest sounds neat, it would be nice if the feed on piczel separated livestreams from the feed and gave us an easy to see small list to the side with who's currently streaming with the option to filter who you are following and such.
