The Mummy Book of the Dead is complete
🕑 Added 2021-04-11 22:06:05 +0000 UTCHello all, sorry for not putting a post out in so long but I assume that most of you follow me on at least one of the social media platform that I post on to see my progress as I go.
The whole time I have been diligently working away on the Mummy Book of the Dead which is now complete except from a working key. I have fully modelled the key including its debossed hieroglyphics, I'm just working on the latching and unlatching mechanism to open and close the 'fingers' of the key. The files for the book model are being uploaded now and should be ready to download in an hour or so.
I've always had many of you ask for different ways of slicing large parts up depending the size of your printers so for this model I have saved the pages out in three different ways. As single piece parts, in halfs and in quarters, hopefully this will keep everyone happy with whatever print bed size you have.
I will be working on a drawing to help in the build but theres not much to detail really except what rods I've design it to use and the arrangement of the locking mechanism for the page latchs on the front.
As this is another big project rounded off I will be putting a poll up soon of what I have on the table to do next. As much as I like the large unique projects I dont want you to feel like I'm only doing a few projects a year due to the complexity of these ones and leave everyone fell like they are not getting their moneys worth supporting me during this time. This might have to be a 2 stage poll where your decide from a big list then I make a second poll with the most selected ones it hone in on the few that are most wanted. I will do this tomorrow.

Yeah I've just noticed that as well. I was all set to carry on printing for the book of the dead. Moreso since I prefer the black and gold appearance. And I'll also note that the back of the Amun Ra has a variation of the Glyphs deco from the front, the back of Book of the Dead is featureless.

Just wanted to let you know that when I opened the Zip download of the book and looked at it I found the cover is from the BOOK of AMUN RA or the book of life as is the lock plate. Do you have the cover and lock plate for the BOOK of the DEAD? The lock plate of the Life book has the eye of Horus and the book of the dead has a Scarab. The book cover of the Life has and Ahnk and the Dead has other glyphs. Just thought you would like to know.

I found out whats wrong, there was an issue with STL generation. I have fixed it and the files will be uploaded later.
