I really like the juxtaposition of the countdown to the Uber with the end of the relationship. Your words really captured the sadness of a breakup with the awkwardness of leaving and not able to leave.

I figured out I was just a side piece to this girl I really liked, while we were out on the town.... then i drove her home.... it was a forty minute drive.... hands down my most awkward drive ever. lol
