This is just like when Lisa arrives at Ally's place for the first time in Sunstone. Lisa is visibly freaking out, while Ally is mentally freaking out. I doubt this was intentional. It was just very fun to notice.

Haha! I like the contrast between the two of them. Meg is taking Ellie’s silence as a sign of courage and trust despite the fact that she’s freaking out inside. Conversely, Meg is projecting calm composure, but you can see some nervousness behind that smile. She’s subtly worried that she might scare Ellie away
