I'm reading this as a bout of anxiety. And this one is going to be much more difficult to defuse than Ellie's fear of basements. There's no light switch here that you can simply flick on to prove that everything will be fine. This comic obviously isn't going to be a redux of The Story of O (as outright confirmed by Stereo), but that implies an offramp will have to be taken eventually. At the very least, Meg needs to get her foot off the gas pedal for a while.
