Been self employed since 2020 and even now I still struggle with it. That secondary judgement in your head of "yeah but you could be working" is a bastard. My big advice is make the hobby as far removed from what you do for work otherwise your brain goes "how do I monetise this?". Monetised own enjoyment is my entire existence and it's a bastard.

You should try rock climbing, it's really fun and has a very social and welcoming community plus it's actually really good excercise but just feels like you're messing around having fun when you're doing it
