Goodness, that really was an odd piece of kit. As soon as I saw that key-stick (I'm not sure what it can be called), I couldn't help but chuckle… but then inappropriate places? Just the icing on the cake. Bloody hilarious that the shooters were the least playable as well… Epic Pinball with a guntroller? Epic indeed :)

Yeah, he sounds like a really awesome and nice guy. I didn't know at first that Geordi was Reading Rainbow guy until years later, and I was all :o because it seemed so random. lol (Though I admit I have never watched a full episode of TNG... only bits and pieces throughout the years... I know, shameful.) Also, I hate that I can't comment to your latest reply but maybe it's a sign I should stop this convo here. haha

Oh man, both. LeVar was great in Roots and Star Trek TNG, and then having him tell me reading was amazing made him even more awesome.

Did you watch the show a lot as a kid or do you just really like LaVar Burton? :P I only saw the original Reading Rainbow once in a while when I was younger, but I thought the Kickstarter was just a really wonderful idea and I'm glad it was such a huge success!

Not only is this gun(n) a piece of shit, but apparently it has an unimpressive warranty card on top of it - unacceptable!!!!! :P PS: That Reading Rainbow shirt is awesome. Love the 8-bit touch to it. :D

Looking up pictures of this thing online I came across an alternate packaging style where the gun is just loose in a clear bag with a folded-over piece of cardboard stapled on top. Those particular models also look very white instead of shiny. But yeah, when I first saw it I thought, "Well... so long as it has tilt controls I guess it might be interesting..." then I saw what was essentially a full-stroke-key-on-a-stick and was like, "...whaaaaaaaat?" XD

Enjoyed this one! Kudos on the Doom music throughout. Doom has got to be one of my favorite game soundtracks. I still get the music popping into my head at random these days, all these years later. Have you ever heard Sycraft's Doom soundtrack recreation?
