I pity the poor souls who paid full price for this thing when it was originally released :-)
LGR
Pool is a freaking sexual game when it comes down to it, so that's not too surprising
LGR
...now that sounds like a challenge
LGR
It was the only thing I could think of after that :D
LGR
And thanks for the support!
LGR
With most of my videos ;)
Justin Dotson
Freud would have a field day with this video.
Dr Tom Servo
Thanks for all the great videos you do

"8-ball into the corner pocket of HELL!" - LGR, 2016 Your faces were priceless in this video. I lol-ed when you knocked over your CompUSA sign with that unwieldy stick thing that's supposed to be a pool cue. And I'm sorry, I have to say it, but my god, moving that stick on that "mouse" looks so freaking sexual and makes the pool cue look even more phallic. >.> I can't unsee it and I will burn that image into everyone's brains... MUHAHAHA :D

If you tape it to a guitar hero controller you can play the violin.
Renzo Thönen
Loved the jab at Polygon's gameplay video :D
LGR
Doom seemed more pertinent to me, seeing as the name "Doom" itself was derived from the phrase in The Color of Money, which involved a pool cue ;)
LGR
That fake cue/police baton is the worst, haha. I didn't show it exactly, but it's even bent in the middle from the low build quality!
LGR
Thanks! And yeah, a one time thing is about all it's gonna get :D
LGR
That's true, there's nothing except that back and forth motion of the pool cue itself! No way to hit the cue ball in a different spot or anything.
LGR
Classic game! And both names derived from the same "pool shark" term, yep :)
LGR
ALL the things, it seems
LGR
That's a good point, there were only so many pool games compared to other sports! But then, they did have plans for the other sports too. Pool is just an odd starting point, haha
Ian Guebert
Aww... you didn't play Duke Nukem with it!
Rob Caporetto
Gosh, that really is an odd one. I'm not even sure what possessed them to make such a controller in the first place - let alone going for such a terrible fake cue to hit it with. And that Doom playing? Priceless.
Gary Leigh
I can see this being used as a one time thing. Nice review as always.
Kris Asick
The worst part is that because of the oversimplification of the design, it completely fails at emulating WHY you would even want to hold a pool cue, as there's a lot of intricacies to it in order to get the ball to behave in various ways when it strikes things. :P

The name of the controller reminds me of Sharkey's 3D Pool :) http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/sharkeys-3d-pool

Pool Cues, is there anything they can't do? As it turns out, yes, lot of things.
The Enforcer
Ah InterAct, one of the Kings of 3rd party controllers. However, I question the reasoning behind a pool cue controller. It's not like pinball where there were a ton of pinball games on PC and console. I can only recall a handful of pool games. Besides, why I would use a pool cue? I suck at pool. :P Duke Nukem: I ought to break this pool cue off in your ass.
