The katakana characters on the front of the Pod box say "poddo"

Isn't it though? It may not do much, but it's a great thing to look at
LGR
Awesome, I appreciate the offer!

NEVER
LGR
Seems like a solid chance of that! It does seem like a rental case.
LGR
Seems like something I'd do, we'll see :)

Cool stuff. I'm a Japanese translator, so if you need something (relatively short) translated I could probably help.

This is like thrifting on steroids! Loved it! I wonder if that SimTown box was ridiculously overbuilt for the education market where hundreds and hundreds of violent demon children were going to get their grubby hands all over the box, crush the box, or spill juice all over the manuals. Although if I remember right, you did a review of SimCity's education release and there was 500 pages of curriculum and workbook stuff that came with the game.
Can't wait till you snag a FM Towns someday!

You should really make a video where you compare all the little differences of the sims version from all over the world.

Yeah, I just had to have the hard clamshell case in my collection. I'm sure it was costly to make, but it's a great high quality package!
LGR
They're locked, so don't work unless you use a swap disc or have a modded PS1.

I wonder if those PlayStation games work on a US PlayStation or if it was region locked.

Oh my. Lovely PC-8801. Never ever seen one of those in the flesh FWIW. Looking forward to whatever you're planning coverage wise on it! As for Raid Over Bungeling Bay - I'd have thought the cover was off the original US release, mainly 'cause the Ariolasoft cassette release I've got on the C64 uses the same image (plus, reused on the MSX copy too). Lovely bit of ominous imagery there too! Plus always interesting to see alternate versions of familiar gems (like with NFS & the various Maxis titles) :) So lovely to see those differing box styles over there - the hard clamshell cases are *so* lovely - easily would prefer those over some of the flimsier boxes I've had to deal with over the years.
LGR
Heh, well that makes sense :)
LGR
Thanks! I love seeing foreign versions of my favorite games
LGR
Pocky is awesome, but also sold in a dozen stores near me so not really worth importing myself :) Although I *would* like to try some of the more exotic flavors...
Justin Dotson
All that and no pocky.

Freaking awesome Japanese stuff, dude! Especially love the Sims games you got. :D
Could see what was written over pod, but the bottom just said "pod" in katakana π if you upload a pic I might be able to see it
