LGR - Strangest Computer Designs of the 2010s

So yep, after being reminded about this series of videos a few times recently, I felt inspired to finally make this as a simpler video for this week. I actually had this list put together all the way back in 2019 and was thinking I'd have it done in early 2020. But eh, things went a bit weird that year. Plus it felt strange to look back at the previous ten years so soon after the decade ended, and for whatever reason now seemed like the right time as we rapidly approach 2023. Time remains continually bizarre to experience.
And now it's back to the usual, I suppose. I have a few ongoing projects that continue to be sidelined by random crap either going wrong, needing to be reworked, or wandering outside of its original scope and requiring more time in the oven. Along with continually building shelves and furniture and things for my new space. Like I said, the usual.

Many of those weirdly shaped PCs almost belong as a dining room table, modern art, centerpiece.

The only weird pc I remember in the 10s was the HP Sprout line. Then again my memory is terrible. Maybe a future oddware episode.

Seems like either these computers were super thin and small or manspreaded all over a desk. No inbetween.

I had, and perhaps still have the jack thin client. I installed it in the wall with a touch screen. So that I could get closer to star trek TNG by controlling the x-10 lights in my house from a touch panel. I had a Bluetooth dongle around my neck for voice activation also, but I had to have a touch screen in the hallway. The x-10 stuff was not very stable though. Suddenly my house started blinking and such :P I started buying z-wave things, but it got expensive and I stopped. Anyway, cool video :)

This is a trip down memory lane for me. I love tech both new and old now, but I wasn't really in the scene till the 2010s, so I actually remember all of these when they came out, as opposed to the retro tech of the early 90s and beyond that was before my time. The 2010s were definitely a weird time for pcs, especially watching them really start to become flashy with the rgb and the tempered glass cases and all that
