Peter Kelly

I like all of them a lot

Mike C

haha me too

Leo Sorits

When i think of Celia i think of Sofía Vergara :)

Peter Groninger

I am missing Chapters VIII 5 to VIII 15 inclusive; where can I go to download them? HELP !!!

Steve Chance

These AI pics don't really jive with images I had in my mind. I pictured of a few characters, Celia (Salma Hayek, Laura (Candy Dulfer).

Hayden

Please offer an option to read the chapters without illustrations. I'm not trying to limit your creativity but i strongly dislike reading books with illustrations. If your writing didn't resonate with my imagination, i wouldn't continue to read. Illustrations will, at best be annoying.

jabbott

Wait, what happened to chapter 23?

John Steffen

Elsa's accent was upper class British — proper Queen's English taught to her in the finest finishing schools of London. Elsa herself, however, was not British. She was Nigerian and the blackest woman Jake had ever seen in person. Her skin was as dark as could be found on planet Earth, so dark that light didn't seem to reflect off it at all.

John Steffen

the image of Elsa does not match

Barry

In my minds eye, I always saw Jake with darker/black hair and despite doing a lot of running, perhaps a fuller not as skinny, bit larger body frame. As with an earlier comment, I saw Elsa as a tall, less plump, active grandmother type.

Travis Young

100% agree.

Travis Young

I really, really dislike AI art. Not only encouraging the autofill machines, but just in general they don't look like humans, but like weird dreams of humans.

Al Steiner

They would never sound anywhere near as good as what I imagine.

Al Steiner

Perhaps I'll stroll over and take a look at it, simply out of intellectual curiosity.

Damon Bynum

Ok, so Laura is way hotter than I imagined. And Cadyee has cute +++.

EdM1950

Celia looks more Mexican than Venezuelan. Venezuelans tend to look more European than Indigenous .Especially members of the middle class. Charley looks too normal. As patrician as Elsa behaves, i couldn't see her letting hersellf gain that weight. The rest is way cool though.

Rob H.

Also, I really like what you came up with for the characters... Not at all what I pictured for Nerdly, and the freak looked very normal...Jake, Matt and Coop are cool, though I did picture Matt as being heavier, with a larger frame, Glenn Danzig or Peter Steele size.

Rob H.

I really like art space.ai which will do NSFW art... They had a deal a while back where you could pay a one time sub for a lifetime membership. I bought in, and have been playing with it on and off for a few months. One of the cool things... If you have faces you like, you can use them as seed templates for other art.

Thomas Stocks

Robert Wilson, an author here on Patreon, has work that might interest you, don't think it's AI though...

Richard Berger

Really artificial looking people. Nerdly is particularly disturbing for some reason. All the guitars are backwards. The story doesn't need illustrating IMHO

Bob Stevens

I didn't recall that Celia and Cadee played left handed. Cool.

AJN

must admit, it really adds color to the imagination. Well done. I have tried many many times to imagine what they would sound like .

Greg Dobbs

Pretty cool even with its flaws. I was wondering recently if there is a music AI that could create songs from your lyrics. That would be interesting.

Chris

Another author i read apparently uses mage.space and has been able to do NSFW art, upto and including sex scenes.

Al Steiner

I wanted Charlie to look creepy and unkempt. I think it did a good job of presenting that.

William Cleveland

Charlie looks as haggard as Matt does. Is that intentional, or just the way the AI decided to do it? Also, I always figured Matt played a "Fat Strat" with a bridge humbucker -- Yngwie Malmsteen is the only person I can think of who plays metal on pure single coils, and it gives him a pretty unusual sound.

Whicked

I did not realize how challenging it could be. But I have to say the way you protray Laura literally, and the images you show mostly overlap with the ones in my head. Thanks for finding my intelligent strong redhead kink 😁

Lawson

Very interesting. I think Jake needs to look older. After all, he is forty, and after a hard rocking life looks too young and healthy. (Still, he isn't as wasted as Matt is.) Laura looks too young, too, and Celia is described as heavier, though not in a bad way. She's just not skinny. Great results so far!

Bob Stevens

Good to see your view of your characters. I always pictured Elsa as thinner and darker. Interesting. Thanks.

JLAcebo

Very cool illustrations. Enjoy your writing.

Steve Braden

Mid journey, canva also have done good tech.

Al Steiner

Wedding rings was a concept it seriously did not understand. There is no way I have found to have it put a simple, traditional wedding ring on Jake's, Laura's, or Celia's ring fingers.

Al Steiner

I'm using DALL-E through ChatGPT for now. Always looking for something better though.

Al Steiner

Getting the face you are imagining is the hardest part. Each of those is the end result of dozens of modifications. And you cannot (at least I have not figured out how to except in cartoonish form) carry over one illustration (of Laura, for instance) with that face to other images. You have to start from scratch with each new illustration. The face of the pregnant Laura is the one that matches the best in my mind.

Jamie

Ok thanks for stopping the confusion.

Surf

That is amazing. Reading your work for years and having images in my mind of the characters; it is inspiring to see you, the writer’s (or AI’s) vision of them. Guessing AI doesn’t have a seatbelt and shoulder strap option. It will be interesting to see where this technology will be in a few more years. Think the movie, “Looker” from 1981.

Al Steiner

He's not. I didn't notice that after all the effort to get a believable image of him. I fixed it.

Matthias Urlichs

AIs and hands. Still a major problem. (See image 10.)

Whicked

I might be confused. I love the images, by the way; they better match my head than what others have done. Confusion—I need to go back and reread. Wasn't learning to fly after Caydee's birth? Laura looks much more mature in the pregnancy photo. I am sure I am wrong, but hey—I've been there before. I wish I had a daughter; she'd be getting a Treble Maker shirt.

Jamie

Strange, I never realized Matt was a lefty.

Steve Braden

Well done. Some of your images are what I had in my head of how they looked. What’s the AI technology you are using?
