INTEMPERANCE IX - Chapter 1, Cinco de Mayo
🕑 Added 2025-02-07 22:03:42 +0000 UTCAnd so starts the ninth book of the series. Sorry I needed a little break between the end of Book VIII and the start of Book IX, but I really needed it. I've been almost completely immersed in Jake's world for the past seven years straight now and just needed a little breather. And now I'm back to work. I'm opening up the final book of the main series with a sort of Day in the Life montage, with the day in question the 5th of May, 2004. As always, let me know what you think and help me shape the story.

Great start, hope we see more chapters soon? - hope all ok!

She is not just using the toothbrush, baby oil, and baking soda to clean the outside of the anal opening, but the inside as well (thus the baby oil). This would also serve to pre-lube the passage. She just needs to make sure she stores that particular toothbrush separate from the others.

Perhaps I'm just dense (probably) and/or very inexperienced re. anal sex (definitely true), but I don't understand how Kim's advice to Meghan at the end of chapter 1 is going to be helpful to Meghan and Massa's cause. Kim describes the prep used for an analingus scene, which would seem to (given the implements described) be only a "surface level" cleaning. How is that going to prevent Massa from future UTIs? His exposure to potential contamination is....deeper.

Fun Chapter. I think Tif needs to hook up with Jim. She could start him on his climb out of Matt induced decline. And who knows maybe long term we can see Kim join them as they move forward? Good details on Cinco de Mayo, it is also a big deal here in Texas, and it has always made me laugh that its totally an american phenomena. I guess May 5th is better drinking weather than September 16th.

Can confirm I’ve also met people like this. Was talking to a girl who was telling me she wanted to start bringing her son to [Christian] church. I asked her what kind, and she looked at me confused and asked me, “there’s different kinds?” That’s was just one shining example of the kinds of things she would say. Notably she turned out way better than her much smarter sister.

That is an issue with this book for some reason. I'm not sure why.

I had trouble finding book VIII on Amazon. Amazon search turned up books I through VII, but for some reason it refused to display book VIII. I found an Amazon link using Google by searching for keywords: "al steiner intemperance VIII". It popped up this 5 book link, but all 8 books are there. :-) https://www.amazon.com/Intemperance-5-book-series/dp/B07HYJ8CM3?ref=dbs_m_mng_rwt_0000_ext

I figured you probably needed a break and we'd be looking at spring or summer for Volume IX, so thanks for the surprise! It was good to get a day-in-the-life of the whole crew. Definitely looking forward to what's coming next. We're starting to get towards the end for Matt, so that's always kinda in the back of my mind. Curious to see how Yami evolves as she gets more comfortable with her new life. There's only one problem with this chapter: Now I want some Mexican and a margarita or three, not to mention that cupcake! Too bad I have to work in a few hours. Thanks again for all your work. You definitely brightened my afternoon. Cheers!
Al Steiner
I'm getting there.
Al Steiner
Thank you.

Will fix in edit. Thanks.
Al Steiner
Yep. will fix in edit.

Most excellent beginning to book IX. Thank you, Al and get better quickly.

Great chapter otherwise

Late in the chapter right after the Kingsley’s get home from work you state Kami sat on the couch. I believe it is supposed to be Yami the Nanny?

Isn’t “Solo” a brand name? If so, it should be capitalized everywhere it’s used: Solo cup.

I have to agree with Caydee’s observation about pants and dancing. Wise words. Thank you for the smile and the laugh. Hope you are on the road to recovery from the flu. Thank you for the chapter
Russ Wideman
interesting spot to end that chapter...you always leave us wanting more....LOL
Al Steiner
Now fixed. Blame the flu and the anti-flu meds from Big Pharma.

As I said, I don't think she's very plausible, but I also think that's true of Wilkins Micawber in David Copperfield or Nick Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream. These characters serve a purpose that transcends their implausibility.
Al Steiner
I have actually known a few Tifs in my time. Never one that specifically thought she needed to suck dick once a week (unfortunately) but women so dumb they make your head spin because they've never had to develop their brains.
Al Steiner
Sorry. I am currently dealing with a case of influenza A and was pretty hopped up on Sudafed and dextromethorphan when I posted. Will fix right now.
Michael Reap
I'm still not sure that Tif is a very plausible character, but she is a fun one to read.

Thank you for your work(s). You're such an excellent author. Take the "you" time: you earned it.

Well it occurs twice, once in the heading and once in the text.

The file is called IX. I'm guessing Al just had a typo in the title and the post to leave the V there.
TexanInParis
Following VIII - book 8 - should be book nine: iX. VIX makes no sense! But I see the chapter name is correct, so all you need to fix is the post.

Looking forward to it.
