Can the President really suspend habeas corpus?

In this Short, I look at whether or not an American President actually has the authority to suspend the writ of habeas corpus, the requirement that a person under arrest is brought before a judge or into a court to know why they are arrested.
Thanks for your continued support!

Really like this one... I would say I have a reasonably good understanding of the separation of powers in government but I concede this one was news to me... Always a good day to learn new stuff!

See Johnson wasn't the worst President after all!

I guess revoking the Habeas Corpus Suspension Act (1863) would fall under the (very) short list of things Andrew Johnson did that I approve of. That and buying Alaska.
