Haha no no it's cool. I think my first post was poorly phrased and made it look like I was like I was more bothered than I actually was.

Mr. Beat

Did you have a specific question you wanted me to answer? I can at least answer it here.

Mr. Beat

I usually announce it if I'll be responding to Super chats. I forgot to announce that I wasn't for that stream. I guess I was just nervous talking to Allan. 😓 uh but yeah thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry if I hurt you. I'll be better in the future.

Jack L

This is unrelated to this particular video, but in general I wish you would clarify ahead of time on videos whether or not you'll get to the superchats. Certain streams, like the last one with Mr. Lichtman, had tons of donations, but you never got around to them. It just seems like superchats are now kind of like a random crapshoot as to whether or not they'll get answered, and I don't think that's a fair, reliable policy. Don't mean to disparage the channel; you're doing an incredible job, man.

Mr. Beat

:)

Chums McGuffey

Bro, I cried :') What a good video and a noble cause.

Mr. Beat

Thanks for sharing that Edward. They sound like heroes to me.

Thank you for doing this, Matt... My father was a WW2 vet - a paratrooper who 'missed' D-Day because of a badly broken leg during training in late 1944 - but his brother whom I never met died in the Pacific in 1942. My dad passed in 2008 at 95 but was particularly old (29) when he joined up in Jan 42 right after Pearl Harbor. We should be thankful for their courage, one and all, and should never forget them...

Mr. Beat

I'm so glad you dug it! :)

I really like this one for different reasons. It is not sufficient to be a critical thinking Skeptic; you also have to put on your Humanist hat... Dig it, Mr. Beat.

Mr. Beat

They are incredible human beings.

Adam Christians

We should all salute those who have been in brutal combat!

Mr. Beat

The best we can do is preserve their legacy and continue to share the lessons they learned.

Daniel Kolbin

Quite insightful. Wish we could do more for them, as well as being careful to never be so detached from the past that we repeat the same mistakes

Mr. Beat

So true. Even if we can at least get out our phones and record our conversations with them that way, I think it's incredibly important to help preserve their legacies.

It’s sad and makes you reflect doesn’t it? A couple months ago I remarked to a friend I hadn’t seen a WW2 or Korean War Vet in public in at least a couple years. It’s so sad that we are truly losing that direct link to such a pivotal moment in world history. I’m glad you and many others are capturing their stories. It’s all we will have left soon.
