btw it was said in an earlier episode that the names of the nations and ninja villages are different, so our main gang are from the ninja village «leaf», which is located in the nation called the land of fire. (this was stated in the first arc). also the symbols on the headbands indicate which ninja village one is from (and subsequently also which nation).

Also Rock Lee is inspired by Bruce Lee. Good catch Edit: also a distinction that I think is important. The subbed translation when speaking about Gaara says he was “uninjured”. It’s important to note that the other translation used in the dubbed is that he didn’t have a single scratch on him. So not only did he not get hurt on any of his missions, but apparently he was never even so much as touched

completely agree with you on the music choice for that one scene lol. For context that music is usually played during more uh… adult moments and Rock Lee and Guy absolutely do NOT have that type of relationship so idk why they went with that theme. This show can have a strange sense of humor at times but it’s not often enough to make the show weird so you just gotta let those moments slide lol
