Since I'm looking for any reason to gradually shift relevancy off that tumor of a site AND since I figured it'd be nice to ask people here too, allow me to posit the same question to you:
"What (if any) would be your preference when it comes to the game's POV character's gender?"

Oh, luckily I have both in mind. Stories, I mean. I can adapt. It's just the excess assets that's the issue, but who knows. If people REALLY like the game, I could end up doing some kinda update down the line that adds the female character too. All's up for consideration.

I'd probably alienate even more people that way :P P.S: Guess I should clarify. I personally don't care about the POV's gender. BUT since I don't care, I would rather go with the one most people would have an easier time relating to. It is an adult VN, after all, those things do matter a bit more than in other types of games.

I didnt try to say you gotta do it, but as you see the poll kinda goes more to male protagonist. At the end of the day its still your game and your choice, if you have already a female character concept you dont have to push yourself to make a male one instead, especially if you already had a female story in mind with last game progress update post hinting towards it ^^

...I mean, on that note, you *could* do an alternate version after whichever one turns out to be more popular in the polls. It would help you not have to deal with most of the mechanics twice (albeit if you include a pregnancy mechanic that could be a moot point because...complicated and only really available for female normally), the second time through you will have more experience to make it better and presumably faster, and you probably won't have nearly as many people complaining about their protagonist's gender.

For a game I prefer playing as a male I just don't enjoy playing other options for stuff really espically for NSFW games.

I prefer playing as a female with a dick (and vagina preferably, full package futanari/hermaphrodite) That way you can both give and receive whilst still playing from the female perspective

That'd mean double the story-writting AND graphic assets, not even counting doing new animations for all events. Hey, if you're chill waiting till 2045, I'm game. :P
