I think it might have been me who put the idea of Pretty Funny in your head, interestingly, I was listening to it earlier today, and I keep thinking I want to rewatch the movie as well. But I did also post about it maybe a few weeks ago when my iPod decided it was just going to play heart breaking songs one after the other, it played that and Telephone Wire and something else, don’t remember… I was so excited for you to see this episode! I remember when I watched it the first time, I went and rewatched it immediately. You will get a lot of answers in the next episode, it is one of my favorites…the episodes get stronger and stronger as they go on, and a lot can be gained from rewatched after watching the whole series…

First of all, Dogfight is a terrific musical. I saw an excellent local production of it a few years ago, and then I got the OCR, on which Lindsay Mendez is indeed incredible. Second, this episode does both answer and raise more questions in a very clever way; the next episode is going to answer even more. And third (and I know I’ve talked about this before), this is the episode that my friend Kate Forbes is in playing the ghost of Evanora Harkness, Agatha‘s mother. She and I were in a couple of shows together years ago, in one of which I played her father-in-law, and in the other of which I played her husband. I think she’s pretty terrific in the role.
