If you want more uptempo Jill Scott songs, try "Bedda At Home". She has an amazing range of ballads and mid-tempo songs "Hear My Call" and "Not Like Crazy" are worth listens.

Her song ‘So in Love’ featuring Anthony Hamilton was popular and more upbeat track. That album ’The Light of the Sun’ was a great one and showcased the variety of her sound. Le BOOM Vent Suite, So Gone and Making You Wait are great tracks on that album

Honestly, this whole album and her follow up album (Words and Sounds vol. 3) can be played straight thru with no skips. You guys should check out ”You Love Me (Lyzel in E Flat)” if you want to see what her vocal range is really like. Or her feature on “Daydreamin’” by Lupe Fiasco. Jill is the real deal.

Try "Golden" for the upbeat vibe you're looking for, but Jill really shines on her mellow jazzy tunes. My fave is "Cross My Mind" to showcase her vocal acrobatics.

Another great review although I was really hoping the next review would be He Loves Me. It has the “explosiveness”you guys are looking for..Specifically the live version at the Lady of Soul Awards in 2001 with an orchestra of kids from California. She even had Patti Labelle standing up at the end of her performance.
