Great reaction, your videos of Erykah’s music has really increased my interest in her music. Always listened to the singles or more mainstream songs by Erykah but never her full albums. Very, very soul with new school flavor.

Certainly is my favorite song on this album,I grew up listening to jazz my mother always loved jazz. This album is definitely more jazzy than mommy's gun.

Seven is Erykah’s son with Andre 3000. Her oldest daughter, second born kid is named, Puma. “Other side of the Game” is not a biographical song. It takes bits from other people’s stories and her own, I think she described it as a common hood story back in the day😂

The Live album is truly a cult classic. It has some of these tracks on it performed live with some bonus songs such as Yeyo. Yeyo is a song about motherhood. It’s a beautiful song.

If you ask me, Zhane's album Pronounced Janay is the first official neo soul album. That duo doesn't get enough credit for the creation of neo soul.
