Dad I love that you picked up that “No Hands” had a different vibe. Kai you are also partially correct about the strip club being a leisure activity for some artists. However the real reason this song was created is because record labels need a radio song. Often (At least around the era when this was released) record heads required artists to do a song that wasn’t as dark to get radio spins which provided a further reach for their artists than their home base.

I just wish that everyone was as open minded as you… Separately, fun fact, Waka’s mom, Debra “Aunt Deb” Antney was a drug dealer and collector for a NY crime family. His uncle James “Bimmy” Antney was also a big drug dealer with the organized crime syndicate “Supreme Team” headed by Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff. Supreme is the guy who ordered the assassination on 50 Cent that got him shot 9 times.

I ain’t gonna act like I was listening to this shit when it came out bc I was already 30 years old by then but if it came on in the club I understood why they was turning up to it. But… that being said Wakka is one of the smart rappers who got rich from rap and moved on and invested and learned from richer ppl and soaked up a lot of info in order to keep getting richer to this day. He doesn’t even push the negativity anymore he preaches financial responsibility and investing. I just bumped into Wakka last time I was in ATL … he came up in the hookah lounge I was in up in VIP w my brother who is a very popular battle rapper. He recognized my bro and came and dapped us down and I got to tell him to his face that I was proud of the man he has became. He was a super cool dude he kicked it w us for a few and then we went on about our night. Im kinda reacting to this album WITH y’all tonight even tho I heard most of these songs separately before just being up in places or vehicles where they were being played loud asf 🤣

Hi guys! I'm about 4 minutes in and I just have to say how impressed I am with dad's recall on albums, artists and eras. THIS is why I love your channel so much. The sincerity. To be introduced to a genre of music that you were not initially very familiar with and also a genre that some people are so quick to dismiss...yet you seem to have immersed/dedicated yourself to take in the art for what it is is extremely admirable (I realize this was a runon sentence but I feel there was no way around it). There are people who look down on hip hop (or country, or rock etc.) and by doing that they really are closing off a whole world of thought/ideas/perspective to themselves and it is disheartening. It is so refreshing to see your growth and openness to an artform that is different than what you know or have experienced and embracing it. I just wanted to stop in to thank you. I'm not even that big of a Waka Flocka Flame fan BUT I will watch every minute of this and probably listen to this album with new ears (I was really only familiar with his hits admittedly). Can't wait to hear that Scarface review btw. Ha ha ...still the only channel I'm a patron of!
