great point about how older r&b is more straight forward than now. I think even back to 80s music it was so clear on the intent. I’ve been listening so much 80s r&b lately lol. I would love to see some reactions to that era. Also, Shai - If I Ever Fall In Love Again and En Vogue - Hold On or Giving Him Something He Can Feel are good ones. Then maybe even some Destinys Child👀

Not related to Joe, but I think you would both enjoy Maze & Frankie Beverly. Amazing band and singer with a cult following. Some of my favorites are "After the Morning After", "Before I Let Go", and "Golden Time of Day".
