I am abandoning the assistants API for my application because control is not great overall and expense is high. As I started thinking through this your unified video came out. I am now working towards rebuilding the same capabilities of my previous assistant setup and this will help me tremendously. Now I just need to rebuild the code to e capable of working in a web ui using fastapi. I need streaming responses because waiting feels like something is wrong with the system for long responses. I would love to see you develop this into a streaming capable web ui. Since you use so little external libraries for this unified setup, it will be very portable and allow for using local llms easily. Great stuff. Thanks for the great code!
