Making a Pond, Veg Patch & rescuing a toilet - Offgrid Vanlife Retreat - Ep.7
🕑 Added 2021-03-17 19:02:22 +0000 UTCIn order to get to grips with how the layout is going to be, we decided to lay out the boundery of the veg patch, reusing some of the concrete posts that have been laying around here for years. We also create a wildlife pond down on the bottom terrace to relocate all of the frogs, newts and critters that currently live in the wells so we can then clean, cover & begin to use them.
Oh yeah, and we rescue a toilet...

You two are really cracking on with it now. Must be soo satisfying to be working your own land at last. Agree with others here about making raised beds. And a note on the carpet use for suppressing weeds...yes it does work, but unfortunately it also leaches toxins into the soil. Plain cardboard would be a better option, weighted down until you can compost straight on top. Worms love it. Hope you don't mind the tip. ππ₯π₯π π½
