If VaM and other plugins work, I don't think DesktopLeap is the cause; however maybe the Leap drivers are. It's going to be easier to discuss this on Discord, ping me and we'll figure it out :) https://discord.gg/VtUpPkb (also let me know if you have a VR headset that works in VaM too!)

Does not work on Linux (Ubuntu 20.04) - leap motion works fine - diagnostics and demos, but the hands are not showing after adding the DesktopLeap.cs as a Session plugin. I became patron just to try to use it. Do you plan to make it work on ubuntu? I can help I am a developer :).

I had no idea this existed. I am super impressed!

When in desktop mode the desktopleap plugin works with my leap motion controller, but how can I possess a model's hands in desktop mode. I tried the Embody plugin but did not succeed. Can you tell me how it is done? Thanks.

This is correct, this for example uses DesktopLeap to enable VR hands on Desktop, and Embody to integrate Leap with possession: https://twitter.com/acidbubblesanon/status/1384704602927423490 The way I do it usually is 1) Add DesktopLeap, make sure it works, and 2) Activate Embody, with the Improved Possession w/ Leap preset. If you have a series of steps that crash vam, let me know!

Works great so far! I've been able to use hands with collision/interaction and use pinch to move body parts around. However, forgive my ignorance, I can't seem to figure out how to possess hands like demonstrated on the vam hub video... Figured it out I think. I'm supposed to use both embody with desktopleap plugin? Seems to crash VaM when I disable desktopleap with embody enabled then renable desktopleap so not sure if that's how it's supposed to work for now.

That's the point :D

oh dang that's really cool. I use vr but sometimes it would be nice to have VR hands but just use my screen.

Thank you for this explanation!
