I agree. There is something brilliant to the negative space that Peter Henry Emerson saw and chose to photograph, that's why I was hesitant and said "if it were up to me" at the end.
That painting is amazing! That scale is breathtaking when you zoomed all the way out. I am a sucker for negative space, so I really like the way it looks now. But can totally see the cutting the panel down being successful as well.
