NAMES DAMMIT I NEED NAMES
🕑 Added 2023-09-24 16:24:52 +0000 UTCThis is not a Poll (Yet), but I have three little Messengers who need names, so I turn to you folks. I need suggestions.
They must be short, snappy, and fit the little one's personality.
They must at least bear a fragment of the glory that is the name MORT
To be specific, here are the Messengers that still need names.
Bossy (Place holder name) – Messenger – Faithful Ally
Bossy has one eye, the other covered by a patch of mismatched flesh covering it entirely. Additionally, he does not have a top lip, and thus, his upper teeth are constantly exposed. Is the one that directed Jaune to retrace his steps through Central Yharnam to uncover loot and essential lore.
Magpie (Place holder name) – Messenger – Faithful Ally
With two bulging yellow eyes, a cropped nose and no lips, the face is permanently grinning. Is the klepto who directs Jaune to treasures of interest and points out curios that it thinks Jaune might like.
Librarian – Messenger – Faithful Ally
He has all his lips and even a tiny nose but is apparently blind as thick flaps of skin hang over both eyes. It directs Jaune to lore, lessons, notes and information it believes its precious Hunter desires.
So yeah, those are bleh placeholder names taken from my character description file; I would like you guys to have a say in naming some of Jaune's most stalwart companions. All suggestions are valid, and I would love to see some of your ideas.

Darvi for Bossy out of a bastardization of leidarvisir meaning guide in Icelandic. Blika for Magpie meaning twinkle in Icelandic. Peku for librarian out of a bastardization of pekkingu meaning knowledge in Icelandic. Inspired cuz Mort means death in some languages so why not for other names?

Looking up Gothic names would work to give it that same feeling as the games. Deacon meaning dusty one & messenger, Edgar means wealthy spear, Hugo means intellectual, etc.
