I have received numerous messages concerning the future of Jaune and what path he will take in this fic and most of the time I have stated that it will be left up to you my Patrons... well that time is here.
So I ask all of you here and now to decide the future of Grimm Nightmares! What does fate have in store for Jaune!
Specifically will our boy head off to Beacon?
I leave the choice to all of you!

I feel like there should be some blowback from the stunts he's pulled in this arc. He was already on Ozpin's radar before, and he should doubly be so now after an entire base of atlesian soldiers and a valean hunter saw him ride the nevermore in. Doubly so when it comes out, he doesn't have aura yet.

I voted for Jaune not going to Beacon but to clarify a little I’d be fine with him being there, just not as a student. Maybe a TA like xydra22 suggested would be good though.

While my vote is for him to enter beacon, I would warn you to avoid the classic blunder a lot of fics take where their mc just tags along the main cast and everything plays out exactly as in cannon. While you’ve been good so far I just want to emphasize that as we begin to enter the time where canon takes place

I just want Jaune to be Oobleck's TA since he would almost certainly have a degree in history at that time. It would be fun to read. EDIT: To clarify, he is still there as a student, he is just a TA for the history/math classes.

Honestly I think Jaune going to beacon is something his parents would support and encourage; he dosent need a beginner combat school, but the socialization of being away from family is something he is going to need to prosper. I know he won’t learn much combat wise and academically, but Beacon represents the beginning of him realizing his family isn’t going to be around him 24/7.

I think Jaune needs some support characters who are not family and are his age. I suppose you could do that outside Beacon but RWBY is one of the VERY few fandoms where all positive characters are mostly likeable so I don't see why you wouldn't use them for it. I wouldn't mind if you discarded parts of the main plot though. Marginalizing most of team RWBY's plot is for example entirely fine with me.

I think beacon would be a good thing for the story. Having jaune develop reltionships with a wider cast will definitely allow for more depth of his already enjoyable character. Personally my mind wanders to what weapon he'll use. Rwby has always been a great medium for characterization through weapons.

I think Beacon would be better, having an interesting take on everything, but also JNPR are usually in the background so you’re really free to not follow all the beats of Canon.

I personally think he should head off to Beacon, but I’m not especially in a hurry for him to get there. That said, I’m sure no matter what you choose you’ll do it amazingly, even if I do have an opinion on this.
