An Artists Perspective: Mother 2

before the release of Mother two, we wanted to share some exclusive cliff notes with you, by the original artist of our Mother Series.
"It is a open secret that "Mother" is the SS parody of a popular Netflix show. So i did my best to mimic the writing style of the show (and the Book) in the first episode of this story"
"For the second episode, i wanted to go back to a part of a SS written project i once read. It was about a job interview that was interrupted by the son of the mother who was applying for a job and (once again) could not find a babysitter for the day."
"While the first episode wanted to mimic the TV Show, this time i wanted to build a mote cinematic, nightmarish, claustrophobic tension. I loved the humiliating aspect in the story and playing around with social taboos and workplace dynamics."
"I was inspired by the work of Brian de Palma by choosing the lighting and camera angles. In combination with kinky, taboo situations with growing tension and ambiguous character motivation and relations"
"It is wonderful to hover around the limitations but also the freedom that is offered by porn or the SS Genre in general. 3d Composing is a great way to try things on the spot and change around lights and places quickly. Yet, scenes and sets had to be heavily modified and completely relit to get the look and feel i wanted."
"For me, the main appeal of doing SS Stories is to discover erotism in a fresh new way and play into the social aspect of it. The taboo and the breaking of it. The feelings of humiliation, guilt, desire, love and especially the shades in between. In a even wider aspect, Mother 2 could also symbolize the exploitation of a single mom in the workforce not just by her employers but also her own son. But who would go as far as that for an SS Story. But i would be happy if you read it next month and comment on what you thought about the deeper meaning of it all."

The way he was looking at mom and son having fun, both at his home and his workplace plus that he didn't tried to take advantage of situation (blackmail), made me think he's not yet another perv. I'm glad I could see it :)
We can see the resemblance to adult Hugo and it is amazing you brought it up. Sometimes the models we can use are not on par with the depth of character we intend for them. Especially the male character. So glad you saw it anyway. Thanks!

2/2 Main boss character is also quite interesting. He looks like another ordinary fat perv who would abuse our pretty protagonist, right? Well, he's more. I can see it. Few words from him are crucial to the change of the mother, for her to accept her new self. He reminds me adult Hugo from Amor Estranho Amor (1982). I think there might be something like that happening with him when he was young, or more likely he wanted intimate relationship with his mother back then, but it never happened. At the end he's understanding and sympathetic to sexual relationship between mother and son. Above that I think modern world generally does have not needed issues with many sexual things. Happy Mother is already free :) most of the world will never be :P
1/2 "I loved the humiliating aspect in the story and playing around with social taboos" Geez, you're not the only one! :D "comment on what you thought about the deeper meaning of it all" Personally I'm not looking for depth. I'm content with superficial, but hot as fuck taboo layer. What I like best in this story is that it's quite realistic in my opinion. Could've happen in RL. Mother is really tired and feel guilt for not being able to provide for her son enough. So she allow him do things to her, it's quickly going out of hand, she's not able to control situation any more and simply let herself to swim with the flow. But what's even better is that at the end she's not lying to herself. She's accepting what has happened, that she enjoyed taboo and she's going forth. I think she feel liberated, emancipated by accepting the situation and deciding not to try to reverse time.
Sadly I have no idea what Netflix show it is :'D Someone please help me out.

Since you mention Brian de Palma as an inspiration, I immediately think of his Dressed to Kill, which your work on that basis (artwork, etc.) reminds me of.
