I think the pilots haven't been giving Tempo the kind of attention she demands while she wasn't immediately in front of them, a sort of professional irreverence where they can get away with it.

Shouldn't momentum be carrying the shuttle away from the jump point? Might take a while, but since there is nothing in space to slow their momentum (and the blast may have even sped them up), at some point they should be far enough away from the Umiak forces for the Barsam to slip around and pick them up. The problem is in letting the Barsam know that they survived without also alerting the Umiak. Presumably, there is a large amount of debris speeding away from the station at high velocity, so even if the Barsam assumed the shuttle survived and went to look, it is going to be difficult to find it without breaking communication silence.

There's a couple of faces we haven't seen in a while. No really, it's been 2 years, 7 months and 3 days since Tempo last appeared in a page, and it's almost been 3 whole years since we last saw Fireblade. I guess that manual door release was a real brain teaser ;P

Wow; haven't seen those two in a while. Glad they didn't get blown out a hull breach off-panel, Ackbar-style. Also, not sure how to vote on Beryl with a ponytail; her normal "Space Rachel" hairdo is just so darn cute!

Well, one good thing came of the mispost: The link from email went to the 404 page which I had not seen before. It features the Patreon mascot floating in space, reminiscent of the end of the prologue, which gave me a good chuckle.
