Outsider page 188

yes, in the meantime Fireblade has the most boring dream ever

This is when Fireblade grabs him and says 'Come with me if you want to live.'

Lately Arioch has been publishing 2-4 strips right before the start of each month. I can't speak for what cadence he has going this month - especially since a finished version of this page hasn't made it to the main site yet. I echo that I can't wait to see more alongside you :)

Any more pages soon™? Cant wait to see more.

It's rather plain that this is Fireblade's nightmare. And Alex came here from his nightmare. As it is now, they both would be powerless in their own subconscious - not having control over those fears is why they are having nightmares in the first place. But the key words are "as it is now". We might see some rapid development on that side of things. I damn hope we will.

Will Fireblade eventually occupy the spot of the cat in Alex's lawn watching dreams?
Dragoongfa
Well, proof that Alex can telepathically communicate with a Loroi; in this case probably Fireblade. Now to see whose subconscious is in charge of the dream and how the 'visitor' may or may not apply some pull; dreams being what they are the visitor having any sort of pull could make for some wacky situations. Here is to Alex pulling his family heirloom M1 Garand and going bug hunting.

The sanzai bubble on panel 3 is deep blue. Those on panel 4 are purple. Alex is hearing two distinct "sanzai-voices".

That's odd.... so I see three possibilities here.... 1. someone else is controlling this dream, and Alex is saying and doing what that persons's dream expects him to. 2. Alex is in semi-control of the dream, and has about as much control as anyone normally does when having a nightmare.... so he's getting the base input from somewhere else, but then his unconcious mind is assuming he takes semi-logical actions once there, 3. Alex is fully lucid dreaming: he finds himself in a strange landscape, but he can act and communicate nearly as well as he could when fully awake. I really can't tell yet which of those things is occuring here.

if that is Fireblade's voice, do the others hear or see that enviroment when they talk to her?
Anthony Docimo
>like no voice i had ever heard another point in favor of it being the bug people (which i had originally stated as a joke or jest) ...or its what a mental voice sounds like (or Fireblade's voice, which he's also never heard before) either way, bravo!!!

Very exciting! I'm gradually transitioning to team Fireblade.

Ga-hurk, mounds of burned corpses probably aren't a good thing. ::tugs at collar to get some fresh air::
Olivier GRAVES
Correction, we have a mound of very unfortunate fellows. If this is what loops in Fireblade's head, poor Alex is bound to not get a good sleep for a while.

For sure! It's the little touches that really *make* a mound of burnt corpses really *corpsy* ;p
