Most everyone has a helmet that matches their suit. Except Alex. But his helmet does match Cloud's suit....

In the last two weeks, Alex had his ship along with all of his friends and colleagues and idols blown from under him, got tortured, saw a few thousand shells and several hundred Loroi atomized or vented into the vacuum over a battlescape, learned about at least one deliberate planetwide extermination effort, and now carries the individual responsibility for the entire human civilization to not end up as a part of the same discourse, success largely depending on how he can secure what connections he has right now. To put it mildly, he is not in the best position to make drastic moral judgements of those around him, and even if he was - the new perspective of scale would be hard for a seasoned man to chew through, much less a shaken kid. And besidees - it's not Tempo and Fireblade that popped into Leido guns blazing, fired sixteen torpedoes at Highland, and now trying to board the shuttle by force.

Alex would never forgive Tempo and Fireblade if they ordered that dear girl 'Cloud' to kill herself just to make their ruse look good! THAT would be Morally unacceptable to Alex I'd bet!

Thing is - there is nothing to be lost form sitting with a blaster against a potential boom-source while wearing a pressure suit and helmet.

they PROBABLY remembered to print a spare pressure suit for Alex.... that just seems like basic safety. Most likely, Cloud is going to die first, without a pressure suit, to make it more believable when Fireblade casts an illusion that nobody else is in the shuttle.

I it harsh but I believe that the reason why Cloud doesn't wear a preassure suit is because Alex is wearing hers. They didn't expect the need to use them for the trip or Alex would have been given one on Tempest. I suspect that Cloud are going to do some form of suicide attack.

Yeah we know where Cloud is going and Why she needs no suit... she is ready to fire that blaster into the engine and blow that highland and a good portion of space around it out of the Ether should whatever Tempo and Fireblade have planned goes bad. She's the ~ You'll never take us alive option!

The two options I can see are the Stealth Burrito, or a swashbuckling boarding action, trying to take the bridge of something fast enough to escape. That second one being a long shot that depends on Fireblade being really strong, and a stretch because I assume Umiak helms are cybernetic, vice a big steering wheel a Loroi could just manipulate. But I guess we’ll see!
