I dunno, "wanted to be distracting with her body" was not the general impression I got of her in the show. Sure, maybe one writer wrote her into slightly skimpier clothing one time when she was undercover (and therefore dressing "out of character" on purpose). But I suppose it wasn't the best choice of words from me, I guess I just preferred the model to be, you know, as close as possible to the way she was shown 99% of the time on the show.

Plus, as mentioned in a reply to A.D. below, there is a lot of fan art with her midriff exposed, and the fact that she did have an episode with both her midriff exposed and some of her bust, when she went undercover while on suspension.

In the Gargoyle form, that's how she looked. In the human form, yeah, she didn't have a midriff exposed with that outfit, despite how many artists depict her with it (and more than shown here). However, she did wear a shorter black jacket and blue top that looked to be a corset, which exposed her bust and midriff quite a bit. She was undercover while suspended, but she didn't really show hesitation about wearing that outfit, so I don't think it would be out of character for her. I think mostly she wore something longer that helped with the cold most times, but when she was a gargoyle it didn't affect her as much, and while undercover she wanted to be distracting with her body more than usual. She's a strong female character who utilizes her physique and a bit of wordplay when it suits the situation, though it usually isn't necessary, so she doesn't go out of her way to use it all the time, yet can slip into it easily. I think that it works just fine.

I looked at the cartoon and you are right...the jacket does go to the top of the pants. This version is sexier, and might be more popular as a result. She also had cuffs at the bottom of her jeans as well, but that can easily be fixed in postwork on the print.

Forgot to add, my only critique would be her jacket not covering her midsection, she's on the job. But something tells me I'm in the minority in that thinking hah.
