The $10+ Quandary

If you're reading this, it's because you belong to the $10 donation tier or higher, and I need a little bit of help.The base perk of being Night Mind Council or higher is listed as input on "Mainstream Media" coverage. TV, Movies, etc... the kind of stuff that YouTube's Content ID system is going to immediately attack me for covering. Patreon is a way for me to put 40 hours or more into a video on something I know Content ID is going to attack and not feel completely violated.
... Or, at least, that used to be the case, before the Black Mirror video event.
Even when a video is hiding out on the unlisted portion of the channel, the system can still tag it and give it every restriction it feels is necessary. That means that even if I ended up making a video on a mainstream product solely for you guys here and kept it unlisted, we still might get the Black Mirror treatment and be globally blocked, preventing the video from being seen.
Which would mean that I'd have to potentially upload somewhere else, but then, I might still have problems on another site. Maybe vid.me would be super lenient and we could run with it, but then, it's a tricky situation of possibly having my account on an external site blackmarked in case I need an escape hatch from YouTube.
And, let's say I do manage to upload all major media stuff to vid.me and don't get touched, I'd still want to make the general audience at YouTube aware of the video on an external site. I don't see how that breaks their community guidelines or rules, but it's a case of redirecting viewership off of their platform when I'm a "partner" with the site.
(A "partner" in a pretty cold, abusive relationship where the power isn't in my hands for all the work I do, but still technically a... "partner.")
I am still exploring options for making the major media coverage thing work. I absolutely despise being kept from talking about amazing things that are worth making a video on just because it's major media, and I hate being deprived of my ability to give you guys something you want to see even more. But at this moment, with the burn from the Black Mirror incident still fresh on my mind, it's time to explroe some options.
I'd really, seriously appreciate it if you guys gave me feedback on what you might potentially like in place of the Major Media perk for this tier. I need ideas, and you guys are the ones who will have the best ideas for what you should get.
I've taken care of so many other things after coming back from this winter for Patreon, and as soon as livestream privileges come back, the rest will be satisfied, but the Council tier perk's non-fulfillment issue at the moment bugs me so badly.
I've set up an independent Discord server for all of you to talk about it amongst yourselves as well as leave me suggestions here. It's also the least I can do right now to give you all your own special server. No rush on coming up with ideas, but if anything strikes you, let me know.
Feeling like anybody's getting left out in the cold here on Patreon makes me feel terrible. No one gets neglected--that's what I'm always thinking about. So, let me know!

I'm new here, so forgive me if this has already come up. What about something along the lines of 'What series to avoid' based on your opinion? I have gathered form your Darkroom March video that you do not like running creators though the mud, so what if you instead took it in a different direction? Instead of focusing on what they did wrong; showcase what they did right, and give constructive criticism on how they can play to their strengths for people who want to become creators and to the creators so that they are not deterred from trying again and knowing how to do it better the next time around.

Nick, would you consider doing a series of videos about the elements that go into good ARGs/webseries/online horror fiction? I'd be interested in videos talking about what makes good characters, story, puzzle elements, atmosphere, etc. My vote for a new perk, if you'd be up for this, would be for us to give input on what kind of story element we'd like for you to cover and put in ideas for media to use as examples of good/bad storytelling. (I should probably bring this up in Discord for opinions but I want to see if this is something you'd be interested in doing.)
