Okay, I'm someone who has kids around the ages of you guys, so they're grown-ass people, and we had a minivan with the extended storage the whole time they were growing up. I never minded if they turned on the interior lights to read. It was only ever a problem when it was raining, because of the reflection off the windshield. But them reading was important to me, so I rarely objected!

Also the light inside the vehicle sometimes reflects against windshield and that creates a hazard... Just saying...
