I built a wood thing!
🕑 Added 2023-04-24 04:28:16 +0000 UTCTrying to get a feel for Patreon as a video platform, so I made a quick video of me bumbling through a small wood-working project today. I've been struggling with finding a good angle for the computer cases while shooting video and working on them at the same time. Hopefully this wood thing will fix that! Sorry for the gym-bro attire, but it's already over 80°F here in Florida. Hope this video is good for a laugh at least!

The case in this particular video is from the damaged systems pile. It has a few dents which could probably be worked out using a hammer and dolly. Sounds like it’s worth fixing up! I was really loving the removable drive caddies.

Patreon seems like a good place for all these extra behind the scenes type things anyway! I'm a big fan of old AT cases where 2 screws at the back side would let you tilt the entire motherboard tray out to get at pesky RAM slots etc (especially super socket 7 boards), since I also feel the pain of hunching over PC cases for years. Also I agree with Neil, the gym attire is totally fine, for reasons 😄

Enlight cases were a revolution in cases when they came out. One of the first to come up with removable panels, caddies, rails, and removable motherboard trays. Our company standardized on them because of how easy it was to swap drives between machines. They initially came out with AT cases and then released ATX cases which were deep enough to still hold AT motherboards. You got a few of them in your collection.
