Mick mobile is a perfect name for the remembrance of Time Machine Spirit. As I try to catch up on all the episodes I missed I always miss Mick when he’s not there. I believe he was a driving force behind Time Team.

I thought the same. I thought my suggestion of "fossoribus" was good... Latin (historical connection) for "diggers" (team connection) and a play on the word "bus" (fun factor). Didn't even make it to the list of choices. 😢

Isn't there an episode where someone refers to their coffee mug as the "Mick mug" because it had colored stripes reminiscent of Mick's famous sweater? After I saw that episode I went and got myself a Mick mug. I hope if Mickmobile wins, the bus will be similarly decorated <3

Honestly think naming it after Mick and Victor is tacky, and not really a good way to remember them. Too close to a meme-name like Boaty McBoatface territory... As much as some people like it, it's weird and doesn't really reflect what the bus is or is for. That's why I voted for the Time Machine, for the Time Team. There are better ways to remember Victor and Mick than this.

Also I was getting 404 messages every time I tried to access Patreon to vote. Got in on my desktop but could never get in on my phone. If your response rate is low, you may want to test access. For record, got in via Window 10 desktop. Then figured out you have to click on the space ship which one cannot do on a iphone SE screen.

While I’m not in favour of “Time Machine” or any of it’s variants I completely agree with you. Any time there’s a poll like this, one or more concepts are spread across a range of variants invariably leading that one to fall behind. It’s the classic spoiler effect in FPTP voting systems.

Naming a bus after Mick seems a bit weird to me. I went for The Time Machine, because it's easy to say and makes sense for a Time Team to use.

As much as I love all those who have made time team what it is, I think the bus deserves a classier more timeless name. The Time Machine has both a literary reference and a nice connection to the Time Team brand.
