Searching for Saxons
🕑 Added 2021-12-10 19:01:36 +0000 UTCThis weekend, we're delighted to be joined by Professor Helena Hamerow for our feature interview on the Time Team Official YouTube channel.
Helena is an authority on Anglo-Saxon archaeology and you might remember her from our Sutton Courtenay episode, when we identified a colossal Saxon great hall.
Join us on Saturday at 7pm (GMT) for the full interview. But as an exclusive preview for our lovely Patrons, here's a clip of Helena suggesting the site that she would like Time Team to investigate next year.
But what do you reckon? Let us know below!

Any saxon sites get my vote after coming across a previously unknown early saxon site with my dad. To this day only dad and myself have seen the 1500 year old artefacts in situ. All proper protocols were followed and everything remains waiting to be unearthed and learn exactly what was going on there and the extent of the site. Just maybe we will get to find out.
