D.A. Durrant.

Love these models please keep doing these!

Patricia Amero

Wow, so user friendly, fast loading and the detail is incredible! Thanks so much to the 2 handsome guys hiding behind the furniture... only joking, they were behind the...

Gloria Carbaugh

That makes a lot of sense. Just today, I saw an actual photo of them and they do look like buckets. In the 3D model, they appear oddly connected to what they are sitting on.

Dinah from Kabalor

Were they fire buckets? I think I recall from this episode that this room was decorated to feature lots of civil war era items.

Deino

So much to look at, so little time. This is superb! Now let's have someone create a labeled key for the ages of the various architectural features, nooks, and crannies.

Jude Edling

Thanks! It a good way to get a better look at the ceiling and other features.

Kathie C

They are called 'roof bosses' and were original a medievel building technique to strenghten the ceiling allowing a wider expanse without pillars to support it. The one in the great hall is mid 18th century plaster probably to replace an earlier ceiling which like the 'parlour' had a ceiling in a rich design of moulded ribs and bosses, with pendants and suspended panels. www.broughtoncastle.com

Looking amazing, have to show my brother this he'd love it. Also interesting architecture design it does look like it's been either remodeled or added to over the years.

That makes sense; I guess all scans that the model is based on were performed from below the chandeliers, so the chandeliers themselves would have blocked the chains from view. Maybe a lesson to learn is that additional scans should be performed from near topside.

Pat Szastkiw

Love the 3D Great Hall. I wish I could have a tour with a knowledgeable tour guide. I have so many questions, e.g. “What’s with all the stone (plaster?) phalluses hanging from the ceiling?”

Gloria Carbaugh

Would love to know what the flower pot like items on the mantle and window sills are for.

Love the models, would be fun if you added some easter eggs for us to find and maybe run mini challenges for Patreons to find them

Zoe Propper

I love the 3d models. These may be one of my favourites- will need to look at it on the big screen

Mark & Jill Jefson

Great model. It is too large to view on my phone but it works great on my computer.

Hi Wolfgang, the free floating objects are the chandeliers / light fittings hanging from the ceiling. However, the chains and brackets they are hanging from are not picked out as clearly in the model, giving the slight impression of floating orbs! You can compare these with the real thing from the episode here: https://youtu.be/iC_SM8RjjJk?t=1015

We hope that helps!

Hi Warren, compatibility on your device can be checked here: https://help.sketchfab.com/hc/en-us/articles/203059088-Compatibility

Wolfgang Zenker

The model mostly works for me, but after moving around for a while I get an increasing number of free floating objects. It looks like parts of columns and decoration objects have detached from the building and started to float in the room.

Melissa K.

I haven't had a problem with them, although they show that they have loaded before they have actually finished doing so. After a brief pause, they seem to work fine.

Warren Feldman MD

These 3D models keep failing.
