I'm a little surprised that they didn't take longitude and latitude coordinates 5 years ago. That should have been in their field notes as well as the published account.

enjoy the updates, and you know Tim, sometimes, even with modern kit, sometimes the older ways are better:-).

OMG yes! then going over to Mick and stating, I just made this great build up and now what??

Good to see some things never change! I can just hear Tony with his usual day 1 rant. "wait til day 2, maybe by then we'll be on some archeology!"

Watching this, i was sensing Mick by his side offering commentary.

That was a laugh out loud moment

I seem to remember a Series 4 Time Team where the map was 10 feet out! So the grid references were not working... Modern GPS will solve the problem! Glad you are back digging up more interesting items and stories! Have a good weekend!

Yay Tim! "Almost found it!" Is TT situation normal! Am loving these updates!
Really enjoying these updates :-)

Universal "where are the keys" moment. Also dig a trench equals rain. Or for me months of drought, a roofer arrives, it pours.

Wow. 1cm accuracy is military grade kit. Another option I suppose would be if there are 3 survey markers within direct sight. Three laser sightings and you can beat even 1cm pin point position.

Enjoying the whole process. Best wishes for a rewarding weekend. Will follow closely.
Now that's classic Time Team! ๐
