I have a question .. there's a stream there, lined with trees, right? Is there a second stream on the other side of the site? Why do the fields have such funny shapes? Is the depression in the ground due to a body of water that dried up?

Eelco Kruidenier

That works! :D I clicked on the image because I was too lazy to read the text.

Time Team

Hi Eelco, sorry to hear that. Have you tried accessing the interactive model on Sketchfab?

Ross G. Kreamer

Great interview! Well done. Solo Gus this season will be quite interesting… I think Mick’s rainbow singlet deserves high marks for sartorial excellence. Cheers

Time Team

Kind of... but not quite! When you're on the ground walking, you get a greater sense of the subtle variation and how that might inform people's use of the landscape.

Lyle Walker

Great model. The landscape is kind of ... flat.

Peter David Brown

Model works on my old ipad and Samsung tablet as well as laptop & PC. Great stuff, keep it up.

David N

Really cool. I got it to work really well on my pc in Chrome.

Eelco Kruidenier

There is nothing I can do with this small image on my laptop. It has no additional value for me at all.

Anne Dexter

Thank you for your efforts. My iPad has died, but I have an Amazon tablet. Maybe I’ll try on that!

Andy Woodhead

I had the same issue with my iPhone - no problem with the iPad though. I have just sent a message to Time Team on the Sketchfab app with some feedback on this. I have uploaded a lot of models to Sketchfab and have sort of worked out how to keep them to a size that will work on the iPhone - not sure how transferable this is to scanned models, but I have made the suggestion so hopefully this will help. same here - the app launches, the data downloads, then after a wait, a grid pattern appears, and that's it

Kerry Hennigan

I was thinking the same thing... will help give greater context to the dig once we see the trenches beginning.

Anne Dexter

Unfortunately these large 3D models do not work for me in my iPhone, they just crash every time. 😢

Andy Woodhead

Great model. It’s going to be really useful to refer to this when viewing your future videos about each trench. Will help to give the context for each one. I love this way of using 3d models to help us understand the dig. Thank you. Andy

Michael Taylor

That's amazing. Thanks!

Robin Goodfellow

Is there any chance we can have a simple 2D image as a backup?

gary hipkiss

its different and new so i like it, we never had this before and imagine it can only get better ;-) thanks guys

Robert Boudreau

Some pretty intriguing crop marks in that field. Be interesting to find out if any of the trenches were put over them.
