This series is exactly what I was hoping for when I joined Patreon. There's so much emphasis on ancient history that I think "recent" events get short shrift sometimes, despite their historical importance. Great job by Matt as presenter, and loving the living history bits and interviews with the Operation Nightingale veterans. Thumbs up all around!

The best dig watches by far. I know they are able to reveal more and know exactly where many things were located but I enjoyed actually learning more about the context and finds along the way. Matt is a natural front man. Loving his work and that of the dynamic duo.

Incidentally somebody said on day 1, I think, that Quonset Hut was the American name for a Nissen Hut, and that's not entirely true. The Nissen was developed in 1916, while the Quonset didn't come along 'til 1941. They have a few differences in design, so it might be interesting to know which those buildings you're chasing actually were given that they're situated in the UK but serving the needs of US troops.

Could somebody have a quiet word with Derek and point out it's a "Nissen Hut", developed during the First World War by Major Peter Norman Nissen of the 29th Company, Royal Engineers, and nothing to do with Nissan the car manufacturer. Thanks. ;)
